Kaseya Announces 2008 "Roadmap to Success" Seminar Series Co-Sponsored by Intel

Industry experts offer IT professionals guidance in transitioning to managed services

ST. HELIER, JERSEY, March 25, 2008 — Kaseya, a global provider of information technology (IT) automation software for IT solution providers and corporate IT organizations, today announced the 2008 dates for its popular “Roadmap to Success” Seminar series. The events, co-sponsored by Intel, will feature advice from industry experts regarding what IT professionals need to know when transitioning to managed services.

Kaseya’s 2008 Roadmap Seminar series will offer guidance from guest speakers Erick Simpson, senior vice president of MSP University, which offers comprehensive managed services education and training programs; and Jeff Kaplan, managing director of THINKstrategies, Inc., a strategic consulting firm that aids MSPs with their marketing strategies. The experts will draw on their wealth of industry knowledge to discuss issues of great importance to individuals breaking into the market, such as how to define SLA’s, determine pricing strategies, and market managed services to small and medium sized businesses (SMBs).

“The transition to managed services is no longer just an opportunity for the channel. It’s a mandate,” said Dan Shapero, senior vice president of marketing at Kaseya. “Our Roadmap Seminars are specifically designed to empower service providers with the information they need to effectively make the change. Erick and Jeff’s deep knowledge of the industry makes them a fitting addition to these events. We’re sure that our attendees will benefit immensely from their recommendations.”

Both MSP University and THINKstrategies, Inc. are members of Kaseya’s recently launched Managed Service Resource Program (MSRP), an initiative which unites industry leaders to deliver results-driven education, marketing and sales programs targeted to the unique needs of managed service providers.

“There is no denying the many advantages of the managed services model,” said Kaplan. “However, in order to make it in this industry, it’s essential to have the right tools and to be knowledgeable about what works and what doesn’t. Kaseya’s Roadmap Seminars help to prepare IT professionals to meet the challenges they face in this space. I’m happy to play a role in that.”

Participants will also hear from current managed service providers who will share their secrets to success.

This year’s Roadmap attendees will be given a free Kaseya emPower Toolkit, a comprehensive set of technical and marketing information, tools, templates and resources. In addition, attendees will receive a complementary membership in MSP Partners, a vendor alliance dedicated to solution provider education surrounding the managed service market.

Solutions providers throughout the world have benefitted from Kaseya’s Roadmap Seminars, gaining insight into everything from how to deploy technology to support over 1,000 endpoints per technician, to how to convert existing customers to the new model.

“Kaseya's Roadmap Seminar offered great insights into what other solution providers are doing and also what best practices we should be implementing,” said past Roadmap Seminar attendee Eric Dorsal, director of services at Compuquip. “It was a very worthwhile morning spent learning about the market and specifically about how we can leverage Kaseya in our managed services practice.”
