Time can be entered for a wide variety of billable and non-billable tasks including administrative, work orders and service requests.

Time is an extremely valuable resource in any organisation, and often in IT it can be difficult to know where it all went. So when management comes knocking on the door asking for reports, quantifying and identifying exactly where the time has gone can become business critical. Whether you’re an Service Provider who is going to charge for the time, or the IT manager who needs those reports to show business value for the team, you need a way to get that accurate visibility.

Time can be entered for a wide variety of billable and non-billable tasks including administrative, work orders and service requests. The Session Timers provide up to 9 concurrent timers to be running for any tasks being worked on, and so you can consolidate time from multiple tasks being carried out by staff into a single timesheet. Now all of your precious time will no longer just fall through the cracks.

Timesheet Entry

An easy to use grid-entry window captures time across a given time period for any set of administrative tasks, work orders or tickets.

  • Billable or non-billable entries (integrates with Service Billing module)
  • User Definable tasks
  • Note capture for quick addition of item details for later reporting
  • Includes time captured from Session Timers

Session Timer

Provides administrators with an easy to use built-in process to start and stop up to 9 concurrent timers, then time recorded by any timer is automatically added to a timesheet, which in turn can be applied to an administrative task, work order or optionally added to a Service Desk ticket (requires Service Desk).

  • Assign color to each timer for easy identification
  • Assign default task or override to customise on the fly
  • Automatically added to Timesheet for approval and billing

Timesheet Summary

Appointed Timesheet managers have the ability to view and drill-into rolled up time across any open or closed time period to provide a snapshot of activity. Separate time buckets are provided for pending, submitted, approved and voided time entries.

Time Periods

Administrators have the flexibility to choose from 4 different scheduling options for staff members to track time against including weekly, bi-weekly, monthly and semi-monthly.

Approval Patterns

Approval hierarchy can be defined at one or two levels with the option for no approval if you prefer to have time flow directly into the timesheets. Managers will have the ability to approve or reject time before time entries become available for reporting or billing purposes (Billing module required for automatic billing).

Tightly Integrated

The Time Tracking module can be used stand-alone or you can leverage the automatic integration back into Service Desk and Service Billing modules. Where you use Time Tracking with Service Desk, the UI can be set to automatically start the timer when a ticket is opened, and automatically record and apply the time to a ticket when it is closed. This tight level of integration makes it very simple to reliably and accurately track actual time spent working on tickets and so provide reports based on real timing rather than just time tickets have spent ‘open’.
