New Cloud Management Solution from Unigma Controls Spiralling Office 365 Costs, Adds PSA Integration

Kaseya + Unigma

Unigma by Kaseya is an innovative solution that manages, controls, tracks and rationalizes cloud service costs for MSPs and IT alike.

The new version, announced this week at Kaseya Connect Europe in Amsterdam, now does the same for the growing Microsoft Office 365 platform, making the cloud productivity suite more affordable and with thoroughly predictable costs.

Besides seamless integration with Microsoft Office 365, the new Unigma also ties directly into Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform and Amazon Web Services (AWS) billing, and adds tight integration with professional services automation (PSA) solutions from Kaseya, ConnectWise and Autotask.

For top cloud security, Unigma is now fully integrated with AuthAnvil for the secure single sign-on and two-factor authentication (2FA) offered by the Kaseya identity and access management solution. This is critical, as end users today log into a bevy of cloud services, exposing their log-ins and passwords to cybercriminals.

“It’s become clear that MSPs need to leverage public cloud infrastructure and services like Office 365 to properly manage their clients’ IT needs. With that said, monitoring, managing and billing for cloud services can be time consuming for MSPs who are desperately trying to maximize margins in the changing IT services landscape. Unigma delivers the cloud automation every MSP needs to grow their top and bottom lines,” said Jim Lippie, general manager of cloud computing at Kaseya.

Unigma breaks new ground by letting IT admins and service directors perform deep and thorough cloud cost analysis, including spotlighting cost savings through unused load balancers and databases. You can also get a total insight into the utilization and cost of your cloud resources. This information offers precise and detailed recommendations on how to optimize your Office 365, AWS, Azure and Google spending. This is all done through a unified single pane of glass with full visibility into multiple clouds, including comprehensive costs analytics with real-time views into all expenses.

With Kaseya BMS, ConnectWise and Autotask PSA billing integration, Unigma MSPs can easily automate billing, improve efficiency, and capture more revenue by seamlessly pushing invoices directly through their PSA solutions. Users can integrate end-client accounts and set up billing, so that every month, client bills are automatically added to their PSA instance with the correct pricing, quantities and discounts. This enhancement enables MSPs to capture higher Office 365 reseller margins by meeting the requirements of Microsoft’s Cloud Solution Provider (CSP) program and eliminates the manual reconciliation behind an MSP’s cloud services – saving MSPs tens of thousands of dollars in labor hours by automating recurring billing.

Security is also a priority. Besides integrating with Kaseya AuthAnvil integration, Unigma also integrates with Microsoft Azure Active Directory (AD), letting MSPs and IT pros integrate with Azure AD via an enabled OpenID-based single sign-on, bringing more protection and visibility to Azure.

Reducing Office 365 Labor Costs to Drive Profits

Office 365 can be complex to properly invoice users. With Unigma Billing Manager, the old manual reconciliations are replaced with automated, regular billing. Moreover, by integrating with your PSA, managing Office 365 and related costs is a breeze, leading to major savings in your labor costs.
On a larger scale, IT shops and MSPs are moving a wide range of applications and workloads to the cloud. Given this, customers and service providers need visibility and insight into what they are using and paying for. Often users buy a cloud service, keeping adding workloads, and are shocked when the bill rises. With Unigma, those surprises come to an end.

These cloud services can be quite complex, with multiple tiers and hidden costs. For instance, prices can go up when new features are added, workloads increased, or capacity added.

Unigma lets IT managers and MSPs understand their cloud costs in detail, and offers tools to keep these costs in check. In fact, before you even sign a cloud contract you can understand the costs by using the free Unigma cloud calculator, which details the prices of AWS, Azure and Google clouds.

The Unigma Story

Unigma, part of the Kaseya IT Complete platform, is an industry-leading solution that enables IT organizations around the world to simplify, automate and secure their workloads in AWS, Microsoft Azure and Google clouds. With Unigma, MSPs and enterprises can automate routine tasks and optimize cost management through detailed cloud utilization analysis.

Unigma by Kaseya has three distinct modules that enable MSPs to:
