ABC Financial Wins the 2019 Techie Awards for IT Department and IT Admin of the Year!

At the Connect IT Global conference in Las Vegas, Kaseya announced the winners of the 2019 Techie Awards. Among the winners was ABC Financial, which won two awards. They were:

  • IT Department of the Year
  • IT Admin of the Year — Colin Gray

ABC Financial is the nation’s leading software and payment processing provider for health and fitness clubs. Its comprehensive offerings include payment processing solutions and advanced health club management tools, such as DataTrak, that allow gym owners and managers to track and manage memberships and member and employee schedules, drive member engagement, and automate payment processing functions. Founded in 1981 by Jim Bottin, ABC Financial’s cutting edge technology and top quality customer service are utilized by more than 7,000 health clubs across the United States, Canada, Mexico and Puerto Rico.

Their IT department is headed by Lee Washington, CIO of ABC Financial. The IT team was selected for the Techie Award for IT Department of the Year due to displaying excellence in multiple disciplines, including:

  • High end-user satisfaction
  • High end-user to tech ratio
  • The use of automation
  • Compliant environment
  • High employee retention
  • Ongoing professional development (tech certifications)

The IT Admin Award was to be awarded to the engineer or technician who demonstrates extreme technical aptitude while going above and beyond to delight internal end users. Colin Gray won the award for IT Admin of the Year. Colin is Technical Operations Manager at ABC Financial. 

ABC Financial uses Kaseya’s VSA endpoint and network management solution including the Software Management module for OS and third-party applications patch management and software deployment. VSA’s policy-based automation helps ABC Financial automate many common IT management tasks. 

They also use AuthAnvil to enhance security with multi-factor authentication, and Kaseya Cloud Backup to backup their IT environment.
