Endpoint Agent – Staff Software Engineer

Job Summary  

We are looking for a motivated Endpoint Software Engineer to help develop and maintain Kaseya's endpoint management agents. You will work alongside senior engineers to deliver new capabilities, improve platform reliability, and solve complex device management challenges across multiple operating systems.  

This role is ideal for engineers passionate about operating systems, systems programming, device management, and endpoint security.  

What You Will Do  

  • Design and implement new features for endpoint agents across Windows, macOS, Linux, and mobile platforms.  
  • Develop software components supporting monitoring, automation, patching, inventory collection, and device management.  
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.  
  • Investigate customer-reported issues and production escalations.  
  • Participate in root-cause analysis and resolution of agent-related problems.  
  • Work with Product and Support teams to understand customer enhancement requests and contribute to implementation plans.  
  • Improve agent stability, performance, scalability, and security.  
  • Develop integrations with operating system management and security frameworks.  
  • Build telemetry and diagnostics capabilities that improve supportability.  
  • Participate in design discussions, code reviews, and sprint planning.  
  • Collaborate with cloud, platform, QA, and support teams.  
  • Continuously learn and expand expertise in system software and endpoint technologies.  

 What You Bring  

  • 10+ years of software engineering experience developing system software, endpoint software, or platform services.  
  • Strong proficiency in C# and .NET  
  • Deep understanding of at least one operating system platform (Windows, macOS, Linux)  
  • Strong knowledge of operating system fundamentals including – Processes, Threads, Filesystems, Networking, Security fundamentals  
  • Good understanding of operating system security features and device management concepts.  
  • Familiarity with one or more MDM ecosystems – Intune, Apple MDM, Android Enterprise, Linux management tools  

Nice to have  

  • Experience with RMM, UEM, EDR, XDR, or endpoint security products.  
  • Proficiency in one of C, C++, Rust, Go, F# 
  • Knowledge of scripting technologies such as PowerShell, Bash, Python, or AppleScript.
