Position Summary

The Manager, Bank Reconciliation Services (BRS), leads global bank reconciliation and cash accounting operations across multiple legal entities and geographies, ensuring accurate, complete, and timely reconciliations. The role owns operational delivery, month-end close activities, exception resolution, financial controls, and continuous improvement while partnering with Treasury, Accounting, AP, AR, Cash Applications, and Controllership teams. The successful candidate will bring strong accounting expertise, people leadership, process improvement capability, and financial systems knowledge to a high-volume global environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end bank reconciliation and cash accounting activities for multiple global entities and bank accounts, ensuring daily, weekly, and month-end deliverables meet established SLAs.
  • Review and approve reconciliations, monitor aged reconciling items, and drive timely resolution of outstanding exceptions and unidentified transactions.
  • Coordinate month-end close activities related to bank reconciliations and cash accounting, including review and approval of reconciliation-related journal entries and clearance of open items.
  • Maintain strong internal controls over cash and balance sheet accounts; ensure compliance with company policies and audit requirements, and support internal and external audit requests.
  • Investigate complex reconciliation discrepancies and partner with Treasury, Cash Applications, AP, AR, Accounting, and Finance teams to identify root causes, resolve issues, and prevent recurring exceptions.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the reconciliation team by setting performance goals, allocating workload, coaching team members, and ensuring business continuity, quality, productivity, and SLA adherence.
  • Drive process standardization, automation, and continuous improvement using tools and systems such as Oracle, Kyriba, FloQast, or equivalent; maintain SOPs, process documentation, and reconciliation guidelines.
  • Serve as the primary stakeholder for reconciliation-related matters, provide KPI and management reporting, and support finance transformation, cash management, and system implementation initiatives.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related discipline.
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in Bank Reconciliation, Cash Accounting, Record-to-Report (R2R), or General Ledger operations.
  • 3+ years of people management experience with demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
  • Strong understanding of month-end close, balance sheet reconciliation, financial controls, exception management, and audit requirements.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPA, CA, CMA, ACCA, or equivalent professional accounting qualification.
  • Experience working in multinational organizations and global finance shared services environments.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP, or equivalent, along with advanced Excel and data analysis skills.
  • Experience with Treasury Management Systems such as Kyriba and reconciliation/workflow tools such as FloQast or equivalent.
  • Experience identifying automation opportunities and delivering process improvements that increase reconciliation efficiency, accuracy, and control.
  • Demonstrated experience partnering cross-functionally with Treasury, Controllership, FP&A, Internal Audit, Tax, and Shared Services teams.
