SSL Interception controls for DNS Secure
Datto DNS Secure now gives you policy-level control over SSL Interception, making it easier to tailor HTTPS inspection to the needs of different endpoint groups.
You can intercept all HTTPS traffic, limit interception to recommended applications, or disable it entirely. This flexibility helps with environments such as VoIP servers, where TLS decryption can introduce latency or affect certificate-sensitive protocols. Existing policies with DNS Secure enabled default to Intercept Recommended Apps Only, while new policies default to SSL Interception off.
These controls help MSPs maintain strong DNS protection while reducing compatibility issues and applying the right level of inspection across different client environments.
