WHAT YOU’LL DO:

The Manager, Tax Accounting should have the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, be focused, energetic with an ability to deliver results under a tight deadline. This is a highly visible role that encompasses all aspects of taxation. The successful candidate is expected to develop relationships with all levels of staff within the Finance Department and will report directly to the Vice President, Tax.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare quarterly ASC 740 provision and related financial statement disclosures. 
  • Develop, support, and maintain the Company’s uncertain tax positions.
  • Monitor, analyze, and implement changes in applicable financial reporting standards.
  • Analyze and record adjustments related to the Company’s merger, acquisition, and disposition activity, including purchase accounting adjustments.
  • Prepare computations of book tax differences, supporting work papers, account reconciliations and documentation.
  • Plan, organize and/or manage projects related to tax accounting and applicable tax controls.
  • Research and develop tax positions and draft memorandums for tax accounting issues as they arise.
  • Assume responsibility for maintaining and complying with the Company’s key tax-related controls.
  • Design, implement, and maintain tax policies and procedures.
  • Work on projects that require technical knowledge, teamwork, problem solving skills, organizational skills and effective communication skills.
  • Work collaboratively with Tax Team to achieve Company and Functional goals and objectives.

 

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

  • BS/BA degree in accounting or taxation; CPA required.
  • Minimum five years of directly related corporate income tax provision and compliance experience in public accounting or with multinational entity..
  • . Advanced knowledge of ASC740 and research abilities with effective communications skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of US federal and state corporate income tax laws and regulations.
  • Detail oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and interact with all areas of Finance.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with constantly shifting priorities.
  • Ability to interface with senior management and to present complex tax issues in simple terms.
  • Ability to interface with diverse external tax advisors, tax auditors and internal departments, including internal audit, diplomatically and professionally.
  • Excellent planning, organizational, analytical, leadership, oral and written communications skills required.
