Patch audit improvements aligned with Windows Update

February 4
New
Datto RMM, Kaseya 365 Endpoint

Datto RMM now delivers patch audit results that more closely reflect what administrators see directly in Windows Update, improving  the accuracy and trustworthiness of compliance reporting. The updated audit logic mirrors Windows Update’s default behavior, including proper handling of WSUS-related online checks, driver update exclusions based on system policy and inclusion of optional quality updates.

Enhancements to update identification reduce the risk of misreporting superseded or revised updates, helping ensure devices are assessed correctly. These improvements apply to the audit and search process only, with no changes to installation or remediation workflows and no new UI elements introduced, providing better visibility without disrupting existing operations.
