Patch management policies now support the fully automated deployment of Windows feature updates as part of the standard patching process. This eliminates the need for separate component-based deployments or manual intervention, making it easier to keep devices up to date with the latest Windows versions.

Administrators should review and update approval rules within their patch management policies to ensure they align with their desired level of automation for feature updates. For additional control, the Configure Windows Targeted Release Version [WIN] component can be used to define the maximum feature version a device can receive.
