When it comes to security, Datto Workplace uses advanced algorithms to detect ransomware infections, quarantine the source, notify IT administrators and quickly revert files to a clean state. It also scans files regularly for viruses and malware. Additionally, file locking and conflict resolution prevents version conflicts and facilitates version management. New versions are created whenever a file is changed. File versions and deleted files are retained for up to 180 days, ensuring users can quickly recover deleted files or revert to the previous version in case of accidental or malicious changes, including ransomware.
