When PaperSolve was hit by a ransomware incident, the server hosting client data was infected with malware. They had to recover many client files and completely restore to refreshed infrastructure. Thanks to Datto, PaperSolve detected the attack early and responded quickly by wiping off the server and reinstalling Windows. Datto’s image backup made it easy to export the entire system image, copy it over and get it back up and running in a few hours.

Since the recovery involved copying a lot of data at once, the workload was distributed to execute the restore process as fast as possible. This worked out fine and the server was captured with all its configurations. Once backed up and connected to the network, the server started functioning properly. As a result, PaperSolve was able to impart recovery confidence among their clients.

Moreover, the service testing feature of Datto allowed the company to assess whether certain services had started working correctly. Prior warnings of malicious incidents improved, and the bugs now get fixed almost immediately.
