The Best of Kaseya 2022 — IT Managers, Check This Out!

IT professionals have long been tasked with maintaining the security and performance of their company’s endpoints. However, the proliferation of devices and hybrid work models has made this task much more complicated in recent years. Technicians now have to manage a variety of endpoints and ensure that data is properly backed up and secure. Simply put, IT professionals have to maintain the past, manage the present and plan for the future — all at the same time.

Kaseya’s IT Complete Platform is designed to help IT professionals catch up, move forward and stay ahead of the game. It is the world’s first and only IT and Security Management Platform purpose-built to meet the needs of small and midsized businesses (SMBs). If you’re struggling to keep up with the ever-changing IT landscape, consider giving Kaseya’s IT Complete platform a try. It just might be the solution you’re looking for.

Meanwhile, check out these top VSA innovations and integrations we introduced this year to help you increase efficiency and reduce the risk of a cybersecurity breach.

Software management 2.0

To kickstart the year, we launched our next-generation software deployment and patch management module, Software Management 2.0. This new module offers up to 5x faster performance and automated patch management with a 98% success rate.

Discover and manage azure cloud assets

To continue fulfilling our vision of a unified RMM that can manage any endpoint, any device, any anything, we created an integration with Azure and Azure AD to support full coverage of all Azure environment and asset types in a single platform.

Omni-device remote control

Technicians are required to use different tools to manage various types of network devices remotely. VSA simplifies this by building a secure communication channel and initiating a remote-control session with a single click. This allows technicians to manage any device on any network, including routers, firewalls, switches, printers and more.

Middle-of-the-night patching with Intel vPro

VSA can now turn on a (vPro-enabled) computer, patch it and turn it off again, thus ensuring VSA is the best patch management solution available today. Moreover, you can reduce tool sprawl by managing all Endpoint Management Assistant (EMA) functionality from within VSA at no additional cost. Automatic EMA agent deployment ensures consolidated management of assets using standard VSA policies, procedures and workflows.

Ransomware detection

VSA now offers native Ransomware Detection, which monitors for crypto-ransomware and quarantines infected devices, significantly reducing the risk and impact of an attack. It scans for signs of ransomware attacks, such as the encryption and deletion of files or the discovery of ransomware notes, and issues an alert when it detects them. It then triggers automated workflows to isolate infected machines and disconnect the endpoint from the network, ensuring watertight cybersecurity.

Golden image VDI support

VSA can now automatically update all desktop clones when you update a Golden Image VDI. An existing VDI agent can be flagged as a Golden Image from which technicians can generate additional VDI images. Routine patches or new software installations to the Golden Image are replicated to the desktop clones improving efficiency and cybersecurity.

LiveView

LiveView is a streamlined and modernized version of LiveConnect that empowers technicians to resolve 99% of issues without disrupting end users. It boasts a best-in-class UI/UX and robust functionality that puts VSA on equal or better footing with dedicated remote control tools such as TeamViewer and ScreenConnect. Use VSA to its full potential by surfacing the most important information and workflows for each major module.

CVSS prioritization for third-party patches

See CVE codes and CVSS scores for third-party software patches to make informed decisions on security impact and build automated policies accordingly.

NOC assist pro

This year we launched an RMM-agnostic outsourced monitoring and management service called NOC Assist Pro. This new service allows our clients to outsource the consistent delivery of daily IT responsibilities regardless of which RMM or endpoint management solution they’re using.

Datto BCDR integration

Fulfilling the promise that Kaseya and Datto are better together, this new integration empowers technicians to deploy, configure and manage the whole suite of Datto BCDR appliances easily. Automate backup management through a single pane of glass.

Up next

Kaseya customers have a lot to look forward to in the new year, with VSA Release 10.0 right around the corner. All these innovations and integrations are great reasons to upgrade to a next-generation RMM like VSA for the best IT management experience.
