Job Overview:

We are looking for a dedicated and innovative Automated QA Engineer to join our vPenTest team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about quality assurance and possesses a keen eye for detail. Your primary role will be to design, develop, and implement automated and manual testing scenarios to ensure product quality. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, passion for software quality, and the ability to work well in a collaborative environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

· Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable automated test scripts.

· Perform manual testing when needed

· Identify, record, document thoroughly, and track bugs through to resolution.

· Work closely with the development team to improve existing products and develop new features.

· Participate in design and specification reviews to ensure quality considerations are incorporated and to provide feedback.

· Collaborate with the QA team to develop effective strategies and test plans.

· Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies.

 

Required Skills and Qualifications:

· Minimum of 2 years of QA experience, with at least 1 year specifically in automated QA.

· Proven experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.

· Hands-on experience with automated testing tools and frameworks, specifically Gherkin/Cucumber.

· Strong understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.

· Ability to document and troubleshoot errors.

· Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

 

Nice to Have:

· Experience with Ruby, RSpec, and Capybara.

· Familiarity with Playwright for browser automation.

· Familiarity with Jira and Zephyr for test management.

· A proactive approach to problem-solving and a continuous improvement mindset.
